Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

My host mom gave me tickets to Taylor Swift's concert in Philly so my friend Steph and I decided to make a weekend of it and have a blast.

Philly is only 2 hours away from NYC so we left on Saturday morning early all ready to have the best time travelling together and of course the concert awaited us on Saturday night.

Once we arrived, map in hand we decided to explore Old Town which houses Reading Terminal Market, Constitution Centre, Liberty Bell, Independence House and of course the LOVE sign. Travelling and exploring is the best part of being on my gap year as an au pair, being in new places, learning and engaging with other people - the accent seems to be a conversation starter everywhere!

We soon were exhausted from all the walking but we had to get ready for the concert. We had dinner and pre drinks at an Irish pub at our hotel and then off we were.

The concert was absolutely phenomenal!! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun at a concert!! Being with 50 000 people all experiencing something and having the best time just screaming your lungs and dancing is something rather special.

Once we finally recovered from the night before it was off the infamous Rocky steps at the Metropolitian Museum of Arts, and then Penn State University and the Franklin Institute and then dessert before heading back to NYC.

So Philly is another place that I can add to the list of great cities in the US.
