Brooklyn over the weekend is a fun place to be even in the winter. Saturday was spent exploring the shops that the vibrant city has to offer and boy, it did not disappoint. H&M, Macy's, Niemann Marcus Last Studio, Nordstroom Rack, TJ Maxx to mention a few.
Although I stay in Brooklyn, it is still super fun and exciting to go to the City. The City for me is Manhattan. Although on the tour during Orientation we went t Manhattan I did not feel like I had experienced the City and couldn't wait to get back the first chance I got.
So after a little bit of planning, I was due to meet one of my closest friend's that I have made since getting to the States, Steph, in the City at 9:30 so that we could have the best possible day before I end up to the country for the Christmas break.
After getting hopelessly lost on the Subway (for the first time) and ending up on the Bronx, and a kilometer of walking, I finally was at Penn Station to meet Steph from her train.
The rest of the day was spent chatting, catching up, hot chocolate and ice coffee (which I still need to remember literally means cold coffee with ice, not blended frappe's like I keep thinking), shopping, walking and eating.
We met up with a couple of Steph's friends from her cluster who were so great and sweet and were able to provide us with so much information and knowledge which was so great and really appreciated.
The shops on 5th and 6th Ave are amazing!! The amount of options that are there and everywhere are something else.
Bryant Park was another great stop to make with the stalls, ice rink and Christmas tree - truly stunning is all I can say!!.
The day in visuals...
