NYC - Breathtaking!!

On Friday, I made the trip up to the country with the family for the night and was awoken to a blanket of snow courtesy of a snow storm across the East Coast - it was so beautiful and to be cheesy, it was exactly like a movie!

The beautiful snow!!

There aren't many moments in my life where I can say that I have been left speechless or had my breath taken away like I did when arriving in Times Square.

I should have seen Times Square when I went attended the NYC Tour during Orientation but for some unknown reason (probably the weather) we missed that part of the tour. I have been so busy trying to feel at home in Brooklyn that I just thought that Manhattan could wait.

This weekend was the weekend that I was going to head into Times Square and experience all that it had to offer! My friend arrived from Long Island around four, and soon we off to Times Square. Walking up from the Subway it was as if I was in a movie or a dream - the lights, the big city, the people - it was magical.

Wandering through the City and taking in the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! The venue for dinner was the Legendary Hard Rock Cafe which great!! Times Square literally doesn't stop or sleep, people are everywhere all the time.

Sunday was spent at Hillsong Church in Manhattan, which was a wonderful service, we then made our way back to Brooklyn for Shake Shack and then off to my cluster meeting with the fellow au pairs.

It was an absolutely wonderful weekend - I now know why this is one of the most amazing cities in the world and I live 5 subway stops away... Its a dream!!

The weekend in visuals...
