Time seems to be flying with the everyday things which is what is making it hard to keep up with the blogging but it will not be neglected again as not only is this for friends and family to read, it my journal so that I never forget the memories that I am making.
I travelled home to South Africa for graduation which was amazing. I went to Rhode Island for the Easter Weekend, my host kid celebrated a birthday and I just recently went to Washington DC for a weekend trip.
The trip home was so much fun as I was able to celebrate my mom's birthday, see some of my closest friends and most importantly graduate with my class. I flew back to the States on the Friday and arrived on Saturday morning and then left just a couple hours later to travel to Rhode Island which was so beautiful and great to be back with my host family.
Celebrations for my host kids 9th birthday were so much fun. He spent the day at Yankee Stadium with 3 of his friends and then came home to a ton of fun balloons, gifts and great food. A tradition for the family is that you get to choose the dinner that we have on your birthday which is super fun.
I am loving my time here but am realising that I need to get better at planning trips to travel or before I know my time will be up and I will have missed out.
I am going to write a separate post on my trip to Washington DC as there is so much too talk about and I need to do it justice.
